Client Overview
AMAG is the leading Swiss automotive group and mobility provider. Since its founding in 1945, this traditional family-run business has grown steadily and now has over 90 locations and around 3,900 employees across Switzerland. AMAG distributes iconic brands, including Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, Å koda, CUPRA and VW Commercial Vehicles, and is expanding its presence in the field of electromobility.
In order to stay ahead in a fast-changing market, AMAG set out to launch a new digital platform for buying and selling cars, with a focus on delivering a seamless, mobile-first customer experience. The internal business case required a working prototype to validate the project’s feasibility and secure buy-in from senior stakeholders.
The Challenge
Validate a brand-new business model at lightning speed.
In order to gain executive approval for a new online sales platform, AMAG required a fully functional prototype within just a couple of weeks. This prototype had to demonstrate the entire user journey, integrate with existing systems such as SAP Hybris, and prove its potential for scalability and reusability.
The Solution
IPS successfully developed a complete MVP in just eight weeks. Our team developed a mobile-first prototype based on Adobe AEM with 15 reusable front-end components and full back-end integration. Designed around genuine automotive user experience (UX) patterns, the solution showcased the entire buying and selling process — from search and configuration to checkout.

The AQUACAR prototype produced fast, tangible results, enabling AMAG to validate its new platform strategy quickly and confidently, with technical clarity.
