Client Overview

Tipptapp is a fast-growing logistics platform that connects people in need of assistance with moving items, such as furniture, electronics or recycling, with individuals who have the time and transportation to help. With over 300,000 users across Sweden, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, and Portugal, Tipptapp promotes flexible, local, peer-to-peer logistics and often enables same-day pickups.

Originally founded in Sweden, the platform is now active in major cities such as Berlin, Hamburg, London and Stockholm. It is designed to reduce waste and promote sustainable consumption by facilitating the reuse of items. Through the combination of smart matching, a mobile-first design and a strong commitment to circularity, Tipptapp has become a leader in modern, citizen-powered logistics. 

The Challenge

The client’s physical planning system, which relied on magnetic boards and manual processes, had become a bottleneck. Rising shipment volumes, constant fleet reorganisations and pandemic-related disruptions exposed the limitations of analogue coordination. A new digital solution was required to enable real-time visibility, collaboration across locations, and streamlined communication between dispatchers and drivers.

The Solution

IPS provided a dedicated team of 3 full-time developers with long-term engagement to support Tipptapp’s growth. The team focused on real-time job handling, backend optimization, and mobile responsiveness — helping improve dispatch speed, system uptime, and the delivery of new features across markets.
